Fashion Week: Rag & Bone!

New York Fashion Week is upon us!

Rag & Bone had their show this past Friday. I'm personally a fan of Rag & Bone, they we're one of the brands that got me interested in fashion.  This show was full of slouchy boots, funky patterns, and lovely texture combinations.

I was joyed to see pinstripes, something I've been growing fond of slowly.  Lots of navy blue was also a pleasant sight, sometimes even paired up with black pieces! I'm typically not a fan of this combination, however I loved it in this collection!

This orange dress is one of my favorite pieces! I was not expecting such a bright color along side many neutrals, the texture combination is ace. Two trends I'll definitely be taking part in are the slouchy boots and the crazy patterns!

This is by far my favorite look of the show.
It is something I would definitely wear. I love the bootie, skinny pant and sweater combination; so for me, this is the ideal look. The lace-up detail on the bottoms particularly stood out to me, I see it as a small detail that helps complete, if not complete, the look.

Thanks for reading!

2014 New Years Resolutions!

Write more blog posts - my blog is something I intend to spend much much more time on this year. I really do enjoy writing posts. I get a lot of satisfaction from it, now it's just a matter of me not procrastinating!

Keep and style inspiration book - Not only for my own style, but for photography purposes as well. I've heard keeping a book of clothing, make-up, hair, etc inspiration is a great idea and can come in handy.

Take more pictures! - Four or five years ago I started getting into photography, and I absolutely loved it! It somehow managed to fade out of my life and I'd really like to bring it back. It's something I'm confident in and proud of the results, but at the same time I can always be better and I enjoy challenging myself.

Healthy Living! - I am on the wonderfully hard journey of weight loss. I'm really uncomfortable with my body and I've had just about enough of my insecurity. A lot of it is all the junk food I eat. So far I've been doing well :) I want to have a healthier lifestyle and that's what I plan on doing!

Stop seeing other girls as threats - Being a girl should not be a competition. Do you and that's all that should matter! Don't get caught up in petty girl drama.

Say yes more - I have some pretty bad anxiety, it tends to prevent me from going out and having fun with my friends. So one of my most important goals of 2014 is to say yes more! Just say it and stick with it! Stop worrying about the things that could go wrong (things that probably wont go wrong), and just have some fun! ~~~ starts singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper ~~~

What are some of your ny resolutions?! :)

School, school, school...

For my final project in my Traditional Photography class I have to do a photo series. I chose to make mine on style. So, I had my friend, Jess, come over the other day to do some modeling for me! While I was taking pictures on my film camera, I snapped a few on my dslr as well!

Some cute little outtakes....

Holiday Haul (Better late than never right?!)

Hello darlings!

I hope you all had a lovely holiday season with lots to laughter, friends, family and food!
And for those of you in school, I hope you enjoyed your Winter break!
I thought I'd share with you all some of the goodies I've acquired through out the past three weeks or so...

Here we've got some things from Urban Outfitters.
I'll start with my personal favorite, the Sparkle and Fade cardigan which is currently on sale, here
I am also in love with my new hobo bag, I'm currently using this for every day use and I cannot get over how much I love it. It is available on uo.com; direct link.
I bought the Street Fashion Photography book hoping to benefit from it. I haven't started reading it yet but I have a good feeling about it. It covers everything from the best equipment to use to how to approach your subject. If this interests you, you can purchase it here.

Next up! ..... H&M, Now, I really really really looooove h&m, but I seem to have bad luck whenever I visit a store. This shirt is what I ended up with. I've been loving polka dots lately. It also has shoulder tabs that aren't seen in this picture.

Shoes! You can never have too many pairs of shoes ;)
I love Keds, they are a great, basic shoe to have, and they come in a bunch of different colors and patterns/designs. I only have the red and white ones. You can check them all out at keds.com!
Red boots! I've been wanting a pair of these for a while now. I saw these whilst Christmas shopping and they ended up under my tree! They are Cobb Hill by New Balance. They're available on Zappo's; just click here!

Next was Francesca's. I got a purple swing cami with this nice crochet accenting the bottom. I also got these two necklaces. I apologize that they're not hq in this picture. The one on the right is gold with a black horn and the one on the left is gold and spiked with jewels on them. I thought I'd get them to add something to my outfits. I'm pretty boring with jewelry, so I thought I'd get something a bit different.

I've recently accquired the iPhone 5s; I love it, but it's not much different than the iPhone 4s I had before. These ClubMaster Ray Bans have been on my wish list for years. They make me so so happy. :)

Full coverage foundation! My best friend. ;) This is by Tarte. This stuff is great! It goes on nice and smooth; it doesn't feel cakey at all. I have oily skin
and this is perfect. I really recommend it.
Along with the Tarte foundation I also got these lovely cruelty free foundation and buffing brushes from EcoTools!

Next up is Urban Decay's Naked 3 and Naked Basics pallets. I have yet to use the basics yet, but it is a small, basic, neutral pallet that I saw as a must have to any make up collection. When I first opened the Naked 3, I was caught a little off guard by how pink it was! I wasn't sure if I'd like it, seeing as I'm not a very pink girl. I decided to say "what the heck!" and try it out. I ended up loving it just as much as my Naked 2 pallet.

Last but not least, Perfume! Victoria's Secret bombshell fragrance (pink bottle), is my all time favorite scent, it's also my go-to spray, I wear it just about every day. Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani in the blue bottle is another great day to day scent. It's quite strong, so you don't  need very much, however I like the nice clean smell it gives. Unbreakable Bond by Kloe and Lamar is new for me, I'm pretty sure it can be either a lady or men's scent, which is pretty cool! It has a sexy clean scent. Last but no least is Our Moment by One Direction, I ask for this for Christmas, my mom knowing I was unsure of how it smelled, not knowing if I'd like it. I'm glad she ended up just getting the roll on. I like the smell, it's very sweet and girly. Perfect for a teenage girl!

Thank you so much for reading my posts and coming onto my blog! I have all my other social networking links at the top of my blog, if you get bored and want to creep. ;)
